As I am browsing through all of your wonderful blogs, a couple of things keep coming up. So I wanted to ask you all to shed some light on them for me.
- What are Book Tags, or any Tags for that matter? I keep seeing these come up and it seems to draw quite a bit of traffic to those blog sites.
- What are these Blog Awards I keep seeing and how do you nominate your blog for them? Are these things that you find and nominate yourself for, or do your fellow bloggers need to nominate you?

I’m an affiliate marketer with links to an online retailer on my website. When people read what I’ve written about a particular product and then click on those links and buy something from the retailer, I earn a (very small) commission from the retailer.

What are Book Tags, or any Tags for that matter? I keep seeing these come up and it seems to draw quite a bit of traffic to those blog sites.
-> Tags and awards are simply a sort of “send it along”-posts. One person starts one, mentions a couple of other bloggers in it [aka tags them], then they do the tag / award and so on. That way it’s given to a whole ton of people.
What are these Blog Awards I keep seeing and how do you nominate your blog for them? Are these things that you find and nominate yourself for, or do your fellow bloggers need to nominate you?
-> Normally fellow bloggers nominate you for both tags and awards, but if you feel like doing a certain tag, I’d say: go for it! Whenever I do tags, I just go with “I’m tagging anyone interested” or “If you’re reading this, consider yourself tagged!”

Cool! So it sounds like I need to build my peer group of fellow bloggers. If I decide to do a book tag, do I just search for it on the Discover page in WordPress?

You can do that! Off the top of my head I remember the Currently reading tag; falltime cozy time tag; uhmm.. mind blank, haha.
